Focusing On The Wrong Things Will Just Get You Down

Instead, focus on what matters and keep it sustainable

The mind is a strange and wonderful thing. On one hand, it’s such a fragile part of your body, which is why you have the hardness of the skull to protect it, but on the other hand, it’s also the most powerful part of your body (aside from your heart) because without it, you’ll be dead — even with a healthy body.

Growing up, I never understood the importance of mental health. I think mainly because where I am (living in Southeast Asia), talking about mental health is still a taboo subject.

The moment someone brings up issues on mental health, it automatically is related to someone lacking in religious believes. My late father was the worse when it came to talking about mental health. He was VERY religious so anything that was related to your mind, he immediately linked it back to religion — and you couldn’t change his mind.

See? His mind, strong and steadfast — even if it may not exactly be right.

Which is why it’s so important that we set our sights and focus on the right things in life — because our focus is what helps us to attract the energy that feeds into us. And this energy can either be good or bad, depending on…
