Ever since my country’s government announced the COVID-19 vaccination program back in February 2021, I’ve seen my fair share of anti-vaxxers on social media (as well as real-life) who seem to just want to share their hate about the vaccine at every given opportunity.
Now, I’m all for freedom of choice. Some countries have made it mandatory for their citizens to be vaccinated while most haven’t. In my country, you can choose to get vaccinated or not.
But the thing is, almost EVERYTHING you want to do or go to in my country right now, requires you to be fully vaccinated (either double or single dose, depending on the vaccine brand) and in a few months’ time, that will also include needing a booster jab.
Whether you like it or not, a lot of people in my country are required to be vaccinated. Otherwise, it will be very hard for them to go anywhere or do anything.
So, my question is, why are people so afraid or reluctant to get the vaccine? Even when it’s been proven that it’s relatively safe to do so?
