Hi Sherry, I appreciate your honest view on this, even if I don’t agree with it. I guess we all have our own views and we can agree to disagree.
I for one found a lot of articles like the one I just wrote to be very helpful for me when I first started writing on Medium. Making sure you have good quality content, the timing with which topic you’re writing about, being lucky in curation, having good images, etc were all tips that I took on board and it WAS crucial in one of my articles making over $600. All those tips that I read about how to write articles on Medium that will make money were from articles that you would call had clickbait titles.
Bear in mind, I know very well the types of articles that will and won’t get curated. That’s why all my articles that are specifically about Medium are stated in the kicker that it’s a ‘Medium Things’ article. I know that immediately, these articles will never get curated which I don’t mind.
I’m sorry if my title doesn’t sit well with you, but just as you said that you and many others don’t like reading articles like this one, there are many others who do. And I’m one of them because it helped me a lot when I first started out. :)
However, I’m thankful for readers/writers like you who take the time to let me know what they like/don’t like about my articles and saying it in a respectful way. So, thank you for that. :)
Have a good day, stay safe during this crazy pandemic that we’re facing and God bless. *hugs*
