Hi Sherry, just so you know, I did not equate cursing with bullying. If you read through my article, nowhere did I say that cursing is bullying. What I did say is that our words carry meaning — heavy meaning.

And these words, when used in an abusive manner, like when someone is cyberbullied, can and have led to people taking their lives.

I use the word ‘fuck’ a lot as well. Though I try to tone it down a lot more now because I don’t want my kids to pick up on it. I agree that it is just a word but again, a word carries a lot of meaning and my point here is that it should be used with greater consideration.

Again, not equating cursing with bullying. Just saying that our words carry a lot of meaning to our readers, and it’s just a reminder to be mindful of what we say.

This article alone is a case in point where my words have seemed to offend people and I do apologise if it offended you as I never meant to do so.
