Member-only story
I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve heard people tell me that my ambitions are not high enough, that I should aim to be more ambitious than I currently am. I’ve been told that I won’t go far in life if I keep my ambitions to how they are right now.
Let me tell you about my ambitions:
- Putting a roof over the heads of myself and my family
- Putting food on the table every single day
- Providing quality education for my children
- Take my family on nice holidays at least a couple of times a year
- Have total control of my time
- Be financially stable and independent
- Spend as much time with my family
- Do whatever the hell I want to do and enjoy it
Sounds pretty normal and straightforward right?
Now, let me tell you why a lot of people say I’m not ambitious enough, at least not up to their standards:
- I don’t aim to own a supercar
- I don’t aim to be the CEO of a Forbes 500 company
