It’s been over 7 hours now since I published it and have not been curated so I guess it’s not happening. My curated articles have so far been curated within 2–3 hours of being published.

As for Stripe, I’ve read a lot about how writers from non-supported countries as using their friends from supported countries to help them. :) Wish I found out about that sooner.
