Same here. Curation was almost a guarantee for your articles to do well back in the day. However, it doesn’t guarantee you anything now. But I would still recommend writers to try their best to get curated.

Although Medium said writers shouldn’t put so much emphasis on curation anymore, it still does promote your articles to a wider audience compared to if it wasn’t curated.

Of course, at the end of the day, the quality of your articles play the biggest role in whether it does well or not.
