A few months back, I was added to a WhatsApp group that contained ex-classmates from my primary school. I had bumped into one of them at a shopping mall (I had not seen him for more than 17 years prior) and we exchanged numbers. He then added me into the group as I had asked him if he still kept in touch with any of our other former classmates.

There are about 50 people in that group and over half of them were former classmates, people I was actually in the same class with, while the other half were the same batch as me but different classes.

It was nice to have seen some familiar faces through their profile pictures. Many have obviously changed quite a bit due to age, etc., and it was just a reminder of how much we’ve grown over the decades. Most of them had families of their own now as well.

And these are people that I knew from when I was 7 until 12 years old. I can easily say that 80% of those in the group, I’ve not seen since I finished primary school — that’s about 24 years ago — but I still remember them quite well.
